Course summary

Spend a hour or two with local bird expert, Ian Morris, deep within the magical young woodland at Denmark Farm.

Learn to identify the calls and songs of some of our resident birds and, with a little luck, early summer migrants such as chiffchaff, blackcap and pied flycatcher. The emphasis will be on listening rather than “birdwatching.”

Meet at the Training Centre at 9am for a quick cuppa then head out for a gentle stroll as part of a small like-minded group.

The walk will begin on fairly accessible boardwalk then venture onto some more uneven terrain. All ages welcome.

No dogs please as they tend to upset the birds.

There is no charge for this event but donations are gratefully accepted to support the charitable work of the Shared Earth Trust.

Brunch will be served back at the centre at around 11am.

Locally produced free-range bacon butties (on Organic Sourdough bread)

or

Veggie sausage butties (on Organic Sourdough bread)

Served with as much tea or fresh coffee as required!
