Dates and times 15 Aug 14 More info 1pm to late Cost £90 (£80 if you book early) Course summary Come and learn about British bats with an expert ecologist and explore Denmark Farm’s varied habitats. This course gives a thorough introduction to British bats. Species identification, including dried/pickled specimens, life cycles, habits and habitats, will be just some of the topics covered in the workshops. Practical and field exercises will involve a guide to summer and winter roosting sites and flight corridors, feeding patterns and behaviour. There will be late evening bat watch(es) using ‘’bat detectors’’. The distribution and status of these mammals, including BAP species and Wildlife Law, will be discussed briefly.
