After 12 years at the Permaculture Association, I have decided it’s time to move on to pastures new! I have been doing the Association finances from the days when we had about 1,000 members, a small diploma system about to change, and one grant funded project, to now when we have almost 2,000 members, on-line learning, an amazing diploma, grants, member-led projects and so much more.
It’s a complicated system to hand over, but I’m sure Sally-Ann will enjoy her time with the Association as much as I have.
I will still be on the Diploma Working Group, will be a long-term volunteer at the Inkpot , volunteer at Edibles, and crew at events, so I’ll be seeing you all around.
We’ve just moved from Headingley to Marsden, so once restrictions are lifted I’ll look for some other job where I can apply permaculture ethics and principles to make a more sustainable world for us all.

I have joined the Permaculture Association as an accountant working in my own practice with twenty years’ experience working with businesses and charities, and also having been a Trustee myself. I am also a keen organic no-dig gardener with a permaculture-influenced allotment.
I am really enjoying getting to know everyone and learning all about the Permaculture Association’s finance systems and look forward to supporting you all in the amazing work you are doing. Hopefully I will be able to catch up with as many of you as possible to say hello over the next few weeks.
