Job Description for Farm Manager for Trenow Fields

Trenow Fields near Penzance is an exciting new coastal National Trust 20 acre farm in development phase converting to organic status to be fully operational Spring 2020. Designed using permaculture principles combined with agroforestry, to grow herbs such as lavender and novel field scale crops such as pulses, beans and grains, a pioneering full-time Farm Manager is required starting February 2020. The Farm Manager will be involved in developing the crops to become financially self-sustaining whilst managing to optimise biodiversity and soil health.

Passionate about organic herbs and field scale crops with responsibility top to bottom for; planning, seed ordering, crop planting/harvesting, admin and using machinery, your personality and ambition are key. This is an exciting start-up opportunity to create what is envisioned to be a small holding sustainable beacon farm.
