Volunteer opportunity in France

Volunteer opportunity for someone with horticulture experience and/or qualifications and a passion for permaculture and vegan food in the heart of the Normandy Countryside. Would suit someone wishing to gain practical hands on experience of growing food permaculture style.
I am looking for someone who would be interested to come and stay for a minimum of three months (preferably longer) from end of March 2018 to help to develop the edible permaculture landscape here. The project here is to develop a vegan landscape as well as seasonal recipes and ultimately to offer permaculture and healthy vegan cooking courses using produce from the land.
We have 2 acres of gardens, orchard and forest garden. There is a mandala garden, herb garden, apple orchard and fledgling forest garden that has been planted with some trees, shrubs and perennials. I have a seed collection and grow heritage vegetables, wild plants, herbs, fruit and edible flowers – currently not for commercial use. I am slowly introducing more perennial edibles.
I am a qualified organic gardener (NC) currently studying towards a permaculture diploma. I will be following an online vegan cookery course in 2018 and will therefore have less time to be out on the land – hence the need for help.
What I can offer you is an informal ‘apprenticeship’. I would be available to guide you and explain what to do but you would need to have the confidence to work independently sometimes and the enthusiasm to do research (there are lots of permaculture and gardening books here). You would also work with one or two volunteers on occasion. The work would involve seed sowing (including green manures), mulching, scything, bed creation, creation of garden structures, development of the forest garden, propagating and harvesting, herb drying , seed saving – perhaps the development of an edible wildlife pond that has been dug (depending on funds available). There could be some ecoconstruction projects here as well in 2018
I can offer a cosy caravan on the land as accommodation. It is next to the orchard and forest garden in its own little plot. It will have a little cooker and sink if you wanted to be independent from time to time. Most of the time we would share meals (we being myself – an English woman, an English man who is here often and one or two wwoof/workaway/helpex volunteers). To get an idea of life here you can have a look at my blog www.lizasweetings.blogspot.fr
We are not far from Mont Saint Michel and there are beautiful coastal walks and waterfalls not far from here. There are bicycles available to use and you can cycle to the nearest town (Saint Hilaire du Harcouet) in 20 minutes where there are shops and bars. There is fibre optic wifi here but no television.
If you are interested, send me an email with a photo if you have one and an idea of your skills/experience/qualifications and motivations. I look forward to hearing from you.
