Organic and Permaculture farm with education centre. Woodlands, alternative energy, heritage apples, forest garden, wildflower meadows and woodland crafts.

100ha Soil Association organic farm in wooded valley with ancient semi-natural woods, woodland management, hedgerows, heritage apple collection, wild flower meadows, upland blanket bog, sheep, wind power, PV photovoltaics, hydro electric, rocket stove and cob oven, solar kiln, for drying timber and fruit.  Kitchen for chutneys and cordial, grafted apple trees for sale, small area of vegetables and polytunnel, forest garden.  Low energy buildings including Middle Wood Study Centre and octagonal log house.  Course venue for full PC design course and other Low Impact Living Initiative Courses, woodland crafts, fungi.  Hoping to set up Community Supported Agriculture Scheme.  Camping barn.  Organic Entry Level and Higher Level Stewardship with Educational Access.

The whole farm, study centre, forest, garden, woodlands and wildlife are managed using Permaculture principles and are integrated into any developments on the site The PC principle have been fundamental to the farm and help to dialogue with developing ideas.
