Marda Project

Demonstration site and working farm providing hands on permaculture training to local people

To promote permaculture throughout Palestine, and to improve the quality of village life in Marda using permaculture principles, strategies and techniques to restore health and to promote food security, self-reliance and empowerment to the village. The MPC is a productive working farm, as well as a demonstration site for replicable permaculture techniques in action such as water harvesting and conservation, small scale drylands food production and working with natural, readily available and locally appropriate materials. The center also facilitates hands-on permaculture workshops with a specific focus on women and farmers. The center intends to build connections with permaculture projects both in the region and internationally.
