Parkfields Community Garden, Kingston upon Thames

Yoga, greenwood working, bushcrafts, beekeeping, Alexander Technique.

A secluded corner of an allotment site in North Kingston taken on by local permacultuists to develop into a community garden.

The site is 4 allotment plots which were overgrown having gone to wild over past years. Main reason being waterlogging of the site. 3 large willows, some hazel and lilac, ground cover of nettles and bindweed, some horseradish. Clearance of man made debris from dumping and some surface weeds has taken place. Large compost bin built. Survey work underway and permaculture design in progress. Looking at responsibilities that go with lease, funding sources, business plan, policies.
