The permaculture movement is all about working together to create sustainable and resilient communities. It is filled with many organisations, practitioners, educators, advocates and supporters, each with invaluable knowledge and experiences. We invite everyone to share their insights, which are crucial in our collective effort to contribute to a sustainable future. To facilitate this, we have launched the International Permaculture Survey. Whether you're deeply involved in permaculture or just starting out, your input is welcome. This invitation is for permaculture associations, networks, groups, designers, practitioners, researchers, students and enthusiasts committed to sustainable living principles.
We hope this survey will reach all continents, though we recognise some limitations. Currently, the survey is available in English, Spanish and French. If anyone can help translate the survey into other languages, please contact us at [email protected] . It would be fantastic to have translations in Chinese, Hindi, Portuguese, Arabic and more!
What is this survey about?
This is a comprehensive questionnaire designed to gather information about the opportunities and challenges in permaculture. We also aim to identify other information such as projects that need global recognition - many of which are already making significant changes in their communities! We will be sharing general results, so watch this space! The survey will help to:
- Recognise the common obstacles faced in permaculture.
- Learn about different permaculture approaches and examples of how they are applied in various regions.
- Inspire others by identifying successful projects and initiatives that can inspire and guide others.
- Strengthen permaculture communities by sharing insights that can foster colloboration and suppport between organisations and individuals.
How to participate?
Participating in the survey is easy and takes approximately 20 minutes of your time. Here’s how you can get involved:
