Certified residential PDC in southern Portugal

Vàrzea da Gonçala's annual spring PDC is open to registrations. This 2017 edition will be our 12th full Permaculture Design Course, led for the sixth consecutive year by the excellent Peter Cow, whose international reputation is steadily growing.

​The course for 2017 will cover the internationally-recognised 72-hour syllabus, and Peter will be giving a particular focus on the subject of social permaculture, There will also be a masterclass in eco-gardening with Chaym Feldman. All in the beautiful setting of the Cerca valley, 7km from Aljezur, on the west Algarve of Portugal.

Camping and all facilities are included in the price of €480. Limited indoor accommodation for the full 12 days in available for an additional €70 per person.

There will be some social evenings (please bring an instrument if you can play), a full tour of the Várzea, evening projected films in the magical evening social space, and home made pizza nights.

There are many good walks in the valley, and quiet spaces to get away from the crowd. Bird-life is particularly rich in this area, and the course will include some nature connection activities.
