What a magnificent bounty (and beauty!) our soils behold!!

Soil Chromatography is a technique to create beautiful art and it's also a key to unlocking understanding of this magnificent bountiful ecosystem, a world apart and yet inches under our feet in this practical soil chromatography workshop.

By the end of the day you'll be confident creating your own soil based art-science! Our lovely Kelly, school teacher & outdoor educator will cover every step of the process from soil collection, making the solution, grinding the soil, preparing filter paper, applying solution to filter paper, as well as observation and analysis of different soil types to help you understand your beautiful creations no matter what soil type you use.

Please feel free to bring your own soil samples (dried out if possible) so that you can learn more about your own soils or we have a range of different soil types available for you to analyse.

Sensible/waterproof shoes highly recommended.

Please bring lunch. Tea & coffee will be provided.
