Course summary

Come and join us in Palestine this Spring for an inspiring and unforgettable Permaculture Design Course at Mashjar Juthour - an innovative and courageous initiative to preserve and recover Palestine's natural heritage and land-based culture near the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Palestinians face great challenges in their lives due to the ongoing occupation and colonisation of their country, the destruction of their natural environment by industry and construction, and the effects of climate change in an already fragile and arid environment. Yet there exists a strong and vibrant movement for sustainability and resilience in the face of these pressures, seeking to build a sustainable future through community action and steadfast resilience.

The courage and innovation of this movement contains important lessons for all of us who seek to create a global community for a peaceful and abundant future, and this unique course, as well as covering the full PDC syllabus, offers the opportunity to connect with some truly inspiring activists and to support their work. You will participate in an international and multi-cultural exchange that should leave you feeling empowered and energised to create change, wherever you live.
