Whittle Dene Cabin Development

The home was an off grid cabin built in the 1920s but needing extensive renovation and opportunities to make the development ecological, green and low impact. This included addition of insulation, double glazing, solar power, compost toilet, forest garden, wood burning stove, hot water system and interior redesign for better use. The photo was recently taken in 2011 upon revisiting the cabin for the first time for years. You can see an apple dangling, one from a tree I planted but had never eaten its fruit (until then). Also attached is the garden design, more details are available upon request. This design and build was a major project included within my Diploma.
