Do you want to grow a food forest - a small one in your backyard, a community orchard or a commercial operation? Growing an abundance of diverse food in a permaculture orchard is what Stefan Sobkowiak is good at!

Come and join us for our first permaculture film club screening for 2023 on Monday 16th January. Watch the film and talk with Stefan!

We are livestreaming THE PERMACULTURE ORCHARD: BEYOND ORGANIC. This feature-length educational film teaches you how to set up your own permaculture orchard at virtually any scale and is based on 20 years of Stefan's applied theory and trial and error.

Stefan is an educator-grower-biologist-youtuber from Canada who recognised the limitations of the organic model and proposes a more holistic, regenerative approach based on permaculture principles.

In this film Stefan shares his experience transforming a conventional apple orchard into an abundance of biodiversity that virtually takes care of itself. The concepts, techniques and tips presented in this film will help you with your own project, whether it is just a few fruit trees in your urban backyard or a full-scale multi-acre commercial orchard.

Join people from around the world to watch this film together, ask questions directly to Stefan and discuss what we learn.

ABOUT OUR FREE MONTHLY FILM CLUB
Welcome to the Permaculture Education Institute's monthly permaculture film club. We screen permaculture-related films on the third Monday of each month and host a global conversation inspired by the film. Make sure to subscribe below to our event's portal here on Humanitix to hear immediately when we release a new event.

THIS IS PAY WHAT YOU CAN EVENT - WHAT HAPPENS TO THE MONEY?
While this is a free event, we warmly welcome your generous donation. We always send 100% of all donations received via our registered charity, Ethos Foundation. Any donation received from this event will go towards permaculture food forest nurseries and planting in East African refugee camps and locally-led classes to show youth how to set up and maintain a perennial food forest. People are living in these camps for decades - perennial food systems are so much more reliable, robust and abundant, and help to fight the hunger and poverty experienced every day.
