Permaculture family homestead in edible landscape growing into learning centre and village-community Here in the green heart of Croatia we are growing a self reliant village-community for likeminded (permaculture) people. The land is called Bogata Šuma (Rich Forest) and rich it is! We have year-round food in our edible landscape with which we feed ourselves, our animals and guests on the campsite. We have set up a polyculture nut orchard, a food forest, a food savanna and a big vegetable park. We give courses in permaculture, sustainable living and personal development with our “Country Life Academy”. Our helpers: volunteers, bees (pollinators), sheep (grass mowers), rabbits (fertilizers) and chickens (compost turners), dogs (doorbells) cats (mouse hunters) and goldfish (against mosquito larvae). You can visit us as a camping guest or on one of our courses. Barbara would also be interested in co-facilitating her courses. If you would like visits, how should people arrange their visit? Email us to arrange your visit Sustainable transport options If you come by public transport, we can pick you up in Vojnic.
