A community garden offering mental wellbeing support and food nutrition education using permaculture
Harmony Garden

The garden is being created from a waste ground contaminated soil where lead levels are high. we are using phytoremediation to do this. We offer an opportunity to learn about permaculture and meet socially, and openly talk about poor mental health. We grow food and people, encouraging them to share their skills and learn new ones, and build confidence.

We are working with the local GPs offering social prescription.  The garden is working towards demonstrating the food forest technique of growing food, supporting biodiversity and mitigating for climate change. We have fun, we believe it's very important, share and celebrate birthdays and festivals. We are open 2 days a week, Wednesday and Saturday, 10 -2pm. There is no charge for visiting or joining to become a Harmony Gardener.

We are working towards becoming a permaculture demonstration site.
