This was a design for a permaculture Institute (IPEMA) in Ubatuba south Brazil, where I stayed and studies for a few months during my diploma. The site is located in the Mata Atlantica Rain Forest. the area faces the threat of deforestation by commercial mulitinationals. The idea behind the forest garden design was to maximise production for human needs from the rain forest to support the resident community of 8 people. They want to live and work in the forest to protect it from any harmful investment or development plans.

I have had some problems with jpeg files on my computer so have not been able to upload my drawings and photos. I am waiting for it to be fixed. In the meantime if you would like to see the designs email me and I will send them to you.

I used OBREDIM for my design methodology. It is the third design in my diploma portfolio.
