About me

Jodie is a Permaculture Design Consultant and Educator empowering communities experiencing food insecurities and ecological decline, to connect , grow and thrive together !  She works in the UK and on humanitarian projects overseas. She is available as a consultant and as an accredited teacher.

Community Education                                                                                                              

 She currently designs and teaches programmes of training for The Workers Education Association. Delivering free or low cost community courses ensuring that permaculture design education is accessible to a diversity of people and inclusive of everyone.

Consultant and Educator

She runs Design to Thrive: Community Regeneration Consultancy supporting councils, community groups, organisations and companies to increase their sustainability and resilience, ensuring their work has a positive and lasting impact on people and the natural world.   

Her approach is participatory, solution based, systems thinking, collaborative, strategic, practical and achievable  - focusing on empowering communities and enhancing ecologies

Working closely with her clients she offers a wide range of support  including community engagement , needs analysis, feasibility studies, impact reports, capacity building, policy writing, regenerative designs for land based and people based projects, and programmes of training in Applied Permaculture Design  and more !..... ReRoot Project CIC                                                                                                                                

She is a founding Director of ReRoot CIC delivering permaculture training and resources in refugee camps worldwide supporting physical, mental and social wellbeing through connection with the land and each other.

 

Educator experience

Jodie has delivered community education courses in places experiencing food insecurity in the UK and overseas

She has worked freelance for  NGOs  and grassroots organisations, delivering a variety of trainings to  refugee communities  and project managing community youth programmes,  growing food and restoring ecologies
