About me

Emily is a sustainability consultant and permaculture teacher.
A nature kid at heart, her Ecology degree and Sustainable Leadership MSc root her work in the natural world and systems thinking. She’s spent her career working in sustainable food and conservation, with groups like WWF and RSPB. Trained in compassionate communication and ‘Active Hope', Emily enjoys blending her wildlife-friendly growing experience with passion for nurturing our best human nature.
Based in and around Stroud (England), and occasionally via Zoom. Her work is often collaborative, as part of the team at Paganhill Community Garden (www.paganhill.org.uk), teaching with Helen Pitel on the Stroud Permaculture Design Course (www.commonedge.org.uk), and working with permaculture colleague Shila Brown in their venture Muck & Magic (www.muckandmagic.com):

At the heart of Muck & Magic is the sheer joy of land that buzzes with life.
Our work is about sharing that - helping you bring wildness and wonder to life in your space.
We blend practical gardening know-how with soulful people-friendly connection.
Get in touch if you'd like to see how we can help you and your permaculture project grow well.
