Sarah Spencer

Founder of Think like a Tree and author of Think like a Tree: the natural principles guide to life.  I have always felt most at home in the woods, growing up in ancient Charnwood Forest, and now live in the National Forest, a new woodland being created around me. I hold a Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design and was founder and lead designer of Whistlewood Common community woodland social enterprise. I trained as a forest school leader and was formerly a caseworker providing legal advice and representation to refugees. In 2017 I founded Think like a tree, with the aim of sharing permaculture, biomimicry and other natural wisdom to everyone, so that they can benefit from it in their personal lives. I also offer bespoke workshops and courses. I train facilitators to deliver Think like a Tree courses, combining the natural principles and design skills with their own discipline.  One such collaboration resulted in Think like a Forest Regenerative Leadership/Organisation programmes.  I run courses at Whistlewood Common in South Derbyshire and online, and workshops and courses at other venues throughout the UK.
